Thank you for using Paxxi! We have implemented this privacy policy to inform you of information we collect from you, how we collect it, what we do with it, and how you can access and control your personal data. Please read this document carefully, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.


By using our services, you agree to the practices described in our privacy policy, which is an integral part of our terms of use. If you don't agree, then you may not use our services.

Information Received or Collected

  • Information you provide: We receive, store and analyze any information you enter while using our services or provide to us in any other way. For example, many of our services require you to sign up for an account. When you do, we will ask for certain information, such as your name and email address. Depending on which services you choose to use, we may ask for additional information. Information you provide may include but not limited to your full name, email address, date of birth, phone number, profile photo, posts and status updates, comments, and any other information you give us. You can also choose to share with us location data, photos and videos. If you purchase a product or service on Paxxi, we may collect and record payment information, contact information (physical address and phone number) and details of what you purchased. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our services.
  • Automatic information: We automatically receive, store and analyze various categories of general non-personally identifiable information whenever you interact with our services. Such information may include but not limited to pages viewed, search keywords, web browser information, operating system information, device information, geo-location, TCP/IP address, HTTP referer, date and time, time zone and language settings. We may also use programming tools to record and analyze session information, including page response times, errors, length of visits, and page interaction information. We may also collect technical information to help us identify your devices.
  • Third party services: You may optionally choose to link your account to an external third-party service or application, such as Facebook or Twitter. By utilizing such method, you are granting us permission to receive, store and analyze information from a third-party. The information we receive from those services depend on your settings and their privacy policies.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We utilize "cookies" (small text files placed on your device) and similar technologies to provide certain aspects of our services and to help collect data. Cookies allow us, among other things, to store user preferences and settings; provide interest-based advertising; combat fraud; and analyze how our services are performing.
  • Mobile and portable devices: We may receive information about your geo-location and device. We may use this information to provide you with location-based services, such as personalized advertising, enhanced search results, and other personalized content. We may also collect crash data when something breaks with our apps.
  • Other sources: We might receive information about you from other sources and append it to existing account information. For example, we may receive updated delivery address information from shipping carriers or other third parties, which we use to correct existing records and therefore deliver your orders more efficiently.
  • Additional information: When required by law, we may request additional information from you such as your social security number, tax identification number, date of birth, and a government-issued identification. You consent to promptly comply with such requests if you wish to continue using our services. This information may also be requested from you for identity verification, fraud prevention, or any other purpose necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or business processes. For example, if you use our services to sell products and/or services, additional information may be requested from you at any time.


User Content

Information you post publicly to our services can be read, collected and used by others, including search engines. You can control the privacy of your posts from your account privacy settings.

How Your Information is Used, Processed and Disclosed

Under no circumstances, except as specified in this privacy policy, do we rent, sell, trade or disclose your personal information to third parties without your prior consent. We may, however, use, process and disclose your information in order to:

  • Recommend products, services and content you might like based on your activity on Paxxi.
  • Help you find friends and groups on Paxxi who have similar interests.
  • Help your friends and contacts find you on Paxxi; if you agree to such settings.
  • Fulfill your orders.
  • Process and collect payments you make.
  • Provide you with customer support.
  • Communicate with you.
  • Perform customer analysis and business intelligence.
  • Administer surveys, customer loyalty programs, special promotions and marketing material.
  • Customize and improve our services.
  • Generate aggregate reporting and general research.
  • Prevent and detect fraud and other prohibited or illegal activities.
  • Resolve disputes and enforce service agreements.
  • Share aggregated and anonymized demographic information with verified business partners.
  • Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.


Third Party Merchants

When you purchase an item or service from a third party seller in the marketplace, we share your name, email and shipping address with the seller. We do not have control over the privacy practices of third party sellers, therefore if you are concerned about the use and disclosure of your information by a third party seller in the marketplace, please contact the seller directly. If you need to communicate with a Paxxi member without disclosing your email address, we highly recommend that you use the messaging system.


On occasion, we may contact you to provide you with customer service, or to provide you with information about certain products and services you may find of interest. Primarily, these communications are delivered by e-mail. Every account holder is required to provide and maintain current, complete and accurate account information in order to receive service communications. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other communications from us, you can adjust your communication preferences by accessing your account and making the necessary changes.

Verified Third Parties

We may engage verified third party companies and individuals (such as payment processors, research companies, analytics and security providers) to help us provide and improve our services. These third parties have limited access to your information only to perform certain tasks on our behalf and are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations not to disclose or use your information for any other purpose.

Acquisition and Transfer

Customers Information is considered a company asset and is an important component of any business, as such, may be transferred to another company as part of a merger or acquisition. In such case, such information remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing privacy policy (unless, of course, the customer consents otherwise).

Third Party Links

We may provide links to third-party websites that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the information collection practices of any websites, products or services that we do not own or control.

Underage Users

Children under 13 are not allowed to use Paxxi. If you're based in the EEA, you may only use Paxxi if you are over the age at which you can provide consent to data processing under the laws of your country, or if verifiable parental consent for your use of Paxxi has been provided to us in writing. If you are a parent and you learn that your child is using Paxxi and you don't want them to, please contact us.

Information Security

We are committed to handling your information with high standards of information security. For example, we encrypt sensitive personal information. In addition, we employ reasonable precautions, industry standard security measures, and multi-level staff access to help keep the information disclosed to us safe and secure. With that said, your account information is ultimately protected by login credentials. It is very important that you protect your account by carefully choosing a strong password, and keeping your login credentials and devices secure.

Data Retention

We retain information as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a specific retention period is required or permitted by applicable laws. In regards to closed accounts, we will retain and use information associated with a closed account to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce this privacy policy and other agreements.

International Visitors

The data protection and other applicable laws of the United States may differ in your country. By using our services, you consent that your information will be received, stored and analyzed in the United States.

How to Access & Control Your Personal Data

You can view or edit your personal data for many of our services. You can also make choices about our collection and use of your data. How you can access or control your personal data will depend on which services or features you use. For example:

  • Your account: You can access and manage your Paxxi account in order to make changes to your profile, personal information, communication and privacy settings.
  • Promotional messages: If you receive promotional e-mail or SMS messages from us and would like to opt out, you can do so by following the directions in that message.
  • Cookies controls: Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but provide controls that allow you to block or delete them. Please note that if you disable cookies, you might not be able to take advantage of many of our services.
  • Local shared objects: Services that utilize Adobe Flash technologies may use Local Shared Objects or "Flash cookies" to store data on your computer. To learn how you can manage or block Flash cookies, click here.
  • Advertising choices: Some of our services are supported by advertising. We use the data we collect to help select the advertising we deliver. If you want to opt out of interest-based advertising, you can manage your online advertising preferences by visiting the following third-party services and adjusting your preferences:
  • Analytics providers: We may utilize web beacons (also called single-pixel gifs) and other methods to help deliver cookies on our websites, count users who have visited those websites and deliver co-branded services. We also include web beacons in our promotional email messages or newsletters to determine various statistics and benchmarks. You can opt out of data collection by visiting the following third-party analytics providers and adjusting your preferences:
  • Do not track signals: Some browsers have incorporated "Do Not Track" (DNT) features that can send a signal to the websites you visit indicating you do not wish to be tracked. Not all web browsers offer a DNT option and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For those reasons, many digital service operators, including us, do not recognize or respond to DNT signals.


California Residents

If you are a California resident, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information by certain businesses to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes, including the identity of the third parties to whom information was disclosed and the type of information that was disclosed. Please note that, under California law, a business is only required to respond to such a request once in any calendar year. To make such a request, please contact us. Please be aware that not all information sharing is covered by Section 1798.83, and our response will be limited to information covered by that law.

Privacy Policy Updates

Technology and Internet laws are ever changing and a future update to the privacy policy described herein is inevitable. Paxxi reserves the right to modify the privacy practices described herein at any time and without notice. Whenever we change the provisions of this privacy policy, we will post the new version online and provide a clear and conspicuous notice to all service users. Additionally, we may send an email communication or SMS message notifying account holders of such update. Any modifications to this privacy policy will be effective once posted. You are responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with any revisions. Your continued use of our services following any revision constitutes your acceptance of the newly revised terms and policies.
